Life is a process, isn't it? I seems like we are always ending a big one when another one starts, or maybe going through several at once. It makes me think of buying songs on itunes and watching them download, all at different speeds. Some slow and some super fast and you can never guarantee one will be done before another even if you started the other first. And of course, you have to PAY for the process to be complete, and whether you like the song or not it's a part of your library!
Yep, that seems to sum up my life process...
Well if you know us, the adoption process is one that is very dear to us. It is something we have felt so strongly about and are wholeheartedly excited and anxious for. (Okay, so the anxious part is mostly coming from me...) We have so much fun with our little family of four and love all of our fun and crazy adventures. This summer has been like no other and we haven't stopped playing yet! Although we are enjoying every second, we would love the chance to add to our clan! Mason actually talks about it constantly.
We have so many people ask us why we feel like it is time RIGHT NOW and sometimes when Mason has thrown up in not only his bed, but in ours at 4AM or Brightyn has unloaded every single drawer and part of the pantry she can reach onto the kitchen floor and beyond, I question it myself. But the truth is, we feel so strongly there is another little person that needs to be in our home.
The whole process has been very humbling and sweet. We learned a lot about each other, were reminded of all or our favorite times together and how much we love our life. Then there was our class. We thought it was going to be kind of a drag, and we couldn't have been more wrong! When you hear from and learn about birth Moms and Dads, words can't express the awe we have for them! Such amazing, selfless people. I can't imagine the courage they have. It was so eye-opening and completely reinforced and added to our love for the adoption process.
So there it is... in all of the processes our lives are rendering, adoption is one we hope will come sooner than later. We don't care where the baby comes from, or if he/she is blue, red or orange (although Papa Eric we think is praying for a grandchild 6'4" or taller). We have so much to give and love to share. Our home is ready. Now I just have to remember that God is in charge and knows what is best for us. And that doesn't just apply to adoption, but every aspect of our lives, which is not always easy to remember...especially for me...

You guys are amazing! I think any mother would be happy to know her baby is being adopted into such a wonderful family. Good luck with everything.
