It started with a beautiful dinner at Accolade at Hamilton's (the new addition at Hamilton's that is gorgeous)hosted by Tyler's parents. The food was delish, (I had salmon and Chris had steak) the video (made by the bride and groom) was sweet and hilarious, and the program the Raymond's planned was so perfect! They asked Chris and Tyler's brother, Jeremy, to do toasts after which both sets of parents talked and then there were a few words from Cam and Ty!
Chris and Camie are the only kids in their family which made Chris' toast very touching. I am pretty sure he was going to cry when he talked about the day they got Camie (she is adopted) but quickly changed to the next topic...don't tell him I said that! He did a great job and it was so sweet!
Tyler's brother, Jeremy, then did a heartfelt, hilarious toast as well and we ended up learning a lot about Ty from that! We are excited to have him in our family! :-)
The parents had some really great things to say and of course, Cam and Ty were so endearing and again - had us all in tears!
After the program concluded, we went out doors to have desert! It was a beautiful night and Accolade has a couple of waterfalls, rock walls, grass, a bridge over some of the water and is lightly lit to create a pretty enchanting area. Kids under 12 were not invited - and we loved having the night to ourselves! My darling niece Machaela watched the kids and they had a great time too!
I am sad I don't have any pictures of that night, and I forgot to get my Flip out to record the toasts - grrrr - but sometimes it is nice just to sit back and enjoy the moment, and that is what we did!
The next morning we woke up and Camie wanted to go to the farmer's market in Logan. We went and enjoyed fresh, handmade lemonade (the best I have EVER had), picked up some bread and produce and just looked around for a while. It was nice just to have a relaxing morning and then Camie went off to get her hair done.
We got ready to go and at 2:15 (ish) we were in the temple as they were sealed together for eternity. Apparently, it didn't happen without a little bit of trouble when the marriage license was forgotten :-) but once it was there it was smooth sailing (from our point of view anyway). The ceremony was brief and tender. The best part was the first time Camie was called Mrs. Raymond - her face was priceless!!!
Then off to the house to get ready for the ring ceremony which they asked Chris to conduct. He was nervous, but did such a great job and tried to make it exactly what Camie and Tyler wanted. That too was brief but very sweet! Both my cuties walked down the isle (thanks to my niece Machaela who helped me with Brightyn) and it was one of my proudest, most touching Mommy Moments! Brightyn walked down with my lip gloss in hand (anything to keep her happy) and Mason took his job VERY seriously! He was a ring bearer. Before we talked about how he couldn't talk, dance or make faces during the ceremony....and he didn't! He walked down with a very serious face and when I tried to get a picture in the middle of it - he got mad at me for trying to make him smile - HILARIOUS!!!
We took family pictures and ones of the wedding party as well. Her photographer was really great and I can't wait to see all of the pictures! Then it seemed like the reception started without anyone really knowing and we saw some great friends and family we have not seen for a long time. It was a little hot for about an hour and then the night started cooling off...perfect! Through out the night I kept thinking back to our wedding (our reception was in the Falk's backyard too) and it brought back so many fun and endearing memories! Our day was so much fun and so perfect for us!
Our kids had the best time I think - playing and playing and eating donuts and gelato for dinner (several servings for both) was makings for the best night ever for them! Once Mason figured out the guy running the gelato station was very nice and would give him whatever he wanted - he didn't hesitate to take advantage. We soon figured out what he was doing... Chris had told him he couldn't have anymore, but Mason just sat with both of his dirty little hands on the glass of the station and stared at the forbidden treat. A few minutes later Mason came walking up with TWO cups full of gelato! Chris confronted him and calmly asked why he had disobeyed. Very candidly, his direct response was, "...but Dad - I got one for Brightyn too!" What a clever little stinker!!! As a 4 year old, he has already learned how to personally monopolize on putting others first.
My sweet niece Machaela was with us a lot because we knew we would be all over the place so she chased around Bright, checked in on Mason and really kept track of them. That is HARD WORK - believe me, I know!!! She was a trooper and in reality, I loved spending time with her! Both were filthy and happy as can be - Mason falling to sleep on Grandma June very quickly! It all goes to show (what family and friends already know) Eric and Stacie know how to throw a GREAT party!!!
Once MR and MRS RAYMOND left in their trashed car everyone started clearing out and we started cleaning up! It was a great day and I am so grateful I was there to experience it. It is amazing how a wedding can brighten the colors of your own marriage you didn't realize might be fading a little. It is a new beginning and for them, and for me, a huge testimony builder on eternal marriage and families!
Congratulations you two! You are an amazing couple and I cannot wait to see what adventures life has in store!

The next morning the kids wanted to play and have a good time with Grandma and Grandpa - - - and Eric and Stacie let me sleep in - - - and it was wonderful. Thanks you two!!
Brightyn can climb up onto the swing set all by herself, but she was a little afraid to go down the slide - Mason decided that he would hold her hand and help her down. It was so so sweet!!!
